Bamboleo is one of the most mythical groups in the history of Timba as it is known today. Founded in 1995 on the initiative of its musical director Lazaro Valdes Moises Rodriguez, better known as lazarito valdes, the group distinguished itself by its desire to create a unique melody based on a mixture of musical genres. In the music of Bamboleo we find sounds of salsa, Afro-Cuban folklore, Latin Jazz, bolero and even walks.
The marriage of all these genres was not the only peculiarity of Bamboleo, they are also very quickly noticed by their innovative and extremely original arrangements, combined with an impressive groove. These compositions make Bamboleo one of the most powerful bands live.
Thanks to the ingenuity of the compositions and their live performances, the group succeeded in winning the orchestra of the year in the annual program 'Mi Salsa' The same year it was founded. It is followed by an impressive success in the festivals and concert halls of the island.
Rapidly, the group forges an excellent reputation, which is accentuated by the many tours they performed at U.S.A., Japan, China, Panama, and throughout Europe.
Bamboleo finally sees his notoriety With the release of their third album "Ya no me hace falta" which becomes the most popular Cuban music album of all time.
Through several years of work, Bamboleo has been the ideal launching pad for feminine talents that perfectly represented the modern singer, such as Haila Mompié, Vannia Borges, Tania Pantoja and more recently Aylin Dallera
Bamboleo returns this year even stronger than ever, armed with a revamped line of singers may equally talented as Ivan Gabriel Rodriguez Gavilán "el hijo de Teresa" and genius of its stainless Lazarito Valdes director
It was on 29 May 2010 that the group Mayimbe was created by Barbaro Fines, who is the director, composer, musical arranger and pianist of the group.
Barbaro Fines is a Cuban, born in Havana. Very early on, he began to practice piano with renowned teachers. Later, he worked with several well-known bands such as Bakuleye, La Charanga Forever, Alain Daniel, La Rebambaramba, Moneda Dura, Issac Delgado, Paulito F.G, La Caro Band and many others.
In 2002, he landed in Peru with a large group of Cuban musicians to join the Conquistadores de la Salsa. It is there, that he realizes that the Peruvian population is very amateur of popular Cuban music, salsa, timba .... He will make several more Cuba-Peru trips to work with the Orquesta la Caro Band group, and will eventually settle in Peru in 2010.
Barbaro has always had the objective of creating his own band, but this seemed to him very difficult in his country. But once established in Peru, he quickly contacted young Peruvian talents and eventually created THE group we all know: Mayimbe
To complete your knowledge, the mayimbe is a sacred vulture, bird messenger of an ancient religious practice, of African origin.
Barbarito created an original musical repertoire composed and arranged by his care where he brought together Cuban and Peruvian musicians to realize it. Only three promotional pieces (El Cuchi Cuchi, Havana Peru, Acuerdate) were needed so that the fever "mayimbera" transcends the Peruvian borders and spread to other world latitudes. The first album "De l habana a Peru" was made in the wake of the album, and as soon as it was released, it was featured in the hit parades and in the playlists of all Cuban "Mensajeros de Dios" and the latest "Te Vi Nacer", always with the same explosiveness, the same transcendent arrangements, all harmonized with the magic "tumbao" of Barbarito Fine.
We are very excited to welcome them for the first time in Tunisia.
